After completing a massive collection of four track songs on the 'Misaligned' album, I chose to turn my conservation efforts to more recent creations. Various abandoned beats were assembled and arranged by key, crammed together with hundreds of samples from film and TV, found footage and other audio oddities. Once again conceived during the dreaded C-word global crisis, this was made for all the people who just can't anymore; trying to come out of our collective Covid comas. It is arranged in three main parts, divided into 24 tracks, through a cycle of all twelve chromatic keys. It is meant to be a meditative journey for those who prefer to keep their own council. Samples were used as a main compositional tool throughout, to match the corresponding key of each song. What has thus been called into being could be described as a long-form aid for the formation of long thoughts. Sometimes corny, sometimes campy, sometimes cringe-inducing; but also contemplative and provocative. Some things are more complicated than they appear on the surface. Either way, it was ultimately cathartic to channel this madness from the ether into your ear holes. If nothing else it is a feat of organization, a tribute to the cold shadow of death ticking down his clock on all of us. So come along with me on this crazy trip, laugh and cry and curse the heavens.
